His father died before the Great War. Haroutioune was deported with his mother. After a walk of three hours the lat[t]er became ill and died on the road. Haroutioune was obliged to follow the caravan of deportation. After one month he arrived in Rakka.
An Arab who was looking for a shepherd, saw Haroutioune. He took the boy out of the caravan and brought him to his tent. Haroutioune lived eight years with him. He desired very much to return to his nation, but the flight was rather dangerous. He had to wait for a chance. Once several Arab boys were going to Moosool, he followed them and reached Moosoul. There he met an Armenian chauffeur, he explained him his actual situation and his plan of the flight in order to come back to his nation. The diver had a free place and so he took him to Aleppo and sent him directly to us.
As far as we know Haroutioune has no relatives.
Relatives in South America where he went.
