PICTURE 10B/1
In the beginning of the war his father was a soldier in the Turkish army. When Armenians were deported a Turk married his mother by force. Later his sister was also married to a Turk and Yeghia remained all alone. By and by all Armenians were deported and he came in this way to Mardin. There he was taken to a Kourdish family where he worked nine years as a farmer.
Yeghia never got any news from his relatives and does not know if any of them are alive.
As he was ill-treated he fled to a village named Gullia. There he heard about our agent in Hassitshe and he fled there. Our agent sent him by way of Der-el-Zor to our Reception house.
His uncles are in America (not found).
