Arshaloos
was deported from Bardizag with her parents and a little brother. They suffered
awfully on the road. When the caravan reached Meskene her parents died from
starvation and disease. An Arab one day took her little brother away and
another Arab dragged Arshaloos with him to his tent. After two years he sold
her to an Arab. Arshaloos, who was treated badly.Soon she fled back to her
first owner. He wanted to bring her back, but then Arshaloos fled and reached a
village near Deir-el-Zor. There an Arab by name Abou Djuneyd took possession of
her. She stayed there two years was then forced to marry a relative of Abou
Djuneyd with whom she lived five years. Always she was longing to join her
nation. One day our agent met with her helped her to flee to Deir-el-Zor and
from there he sent her to us.
