In the destruction of the Armenians in Urfa 1915 Hagop's parents succeeded in fleeing with their son to Surudj. There a Turk got hold of them, killed the parents and took possession of Hagop. He became a slave and hat to work for the murderer of his parents twelve years. Never he received any recompense. Once he tried to flee, but was caught and punished cruelly. One day, as he went to the market for buying something he met with one of our agents. Now his sufferings were ended, and soon he arrived in the safe harbour in Aleppo.
