Diran lost his parents when he was but a baby.   

                  He lived with his relatives and was deported with those.  

                  The caravan was attacked by Kourds who dragged many women and children along with them. So also Diran was among those. He lived many years in a Kourdish village and was treated as a slave.  

                  At last he fled and reached Deir-el-Zor from where he was sent on to us.
