Simon's father died before the war. He was deported with his mother and sister to Tel-Abiat. There he lost his sister and his mother died. Simon went to a Turkish house and lived there for 2 years as a servant. As he was growing up, his mistress did not want to keep him any longer and he was discharged from there.
Simon went to a Kourdish village and lived 5 years there, being a farmer. He was treated badly there. He fled at night time to Urfa and finally reached Aleppo.
Simon learned a trade and is selfsupporting.
