In the beginning of the war his father was taken to the Turkish army. His mother, two brothers and he himself were deported to Hama. In Hama his younger brother died and the rest remained 3 years in that town. Afterwards they returned to their native town and took again possession of their house. After one year, his mother became ill and died also.
Krikor and his brother were obliged to work in different Turkish houses in order to earn their daily bread. Krikor had the intention to flee but did not carry it out having absolutely no money, but he remained anyhow an Armenian.
When Armenians had to emigrate he fled to the Armenian priest who sent him through our agent to our Reception house.
