Aroossiags
father was a soldier in the Turkish army. Her poor mother came on the road with
her 2 little children, a boy and a girl.
They suffered dreadfully on
the road from hunger and thirst. At last they reached Mardin, where an Arab
brought them all three to his tent. After a few days he wanted to marry
Aroossiag's mother to another Arab. She did not want and fled in the night.
In the daybreak Aroossiag
awoke, and when she saw, that her mother was away, she also fled to a Kourdish
village, where she stayed for many years.
She never forgot her mother
and tried to flee many times. Three times she was caught and brought back to
her master.
The fourth time she succeeded
and came to us in Aleppo, where she has found her mother.
