Hovhannes became an orphan
before the war. He was deported with his four brothers, but on the road all of
them were killed by the Turks. He himself arrived safely to a village near
Paloo. There he became the servant of a Kurdish farmer with whom he remained
until lately. During the Kurdish-Turkish revolution he was associated with the
Kurds. Being afraid that the Turks would arrest him, he fled and came to
Ras-el-Ain. Our agent there, sent him by motor car to us.
Left
