Ovsannas
father was a soldier in the Turkish army and killed during his service. The
mother was exiled with her baby.
The caravan came to
Deir-el-Zor, there Ovsannas mother fled and hid herself and her baby. She
supported herself by working in different Moslem houses.
Later they were exiled from
Deir-el-Zor to Mardin. There the mother became ill and died. The child was
taken to the Turkish orphanage.
Not long afterwards the
orphanage was closed and the children sent away.
An Armenian pastor knowing
Ovsanna being an Armenian kept her a time and then send her to us in Aleppo.
