PICTURE

Kevork's father went to America one year before the deportation and is still alive there. Kevork was exiled with his mother and young brother to Deir-el-Zor where an Arab took them all to his house.

Two weeks after, his mother died and the two brothers remained in that house. Some of their relatives were here in Aleppo. They twice went to Deir-el-Zor and tried to persuade the boys to follow them and told them about their father in America and that they were Armenians. They succeeded in persuading the elder brother but the younger one did not like to leave the Arabs. He was but a few months old, when he came to the Arabs and of course he things that he is their son.

Kevork is now living with his relatives in Aleppo.
