Ayraz's father died before the deportation. He himself was deported with his mother to Tiz-Kharab. He was too small to continue to road, the place of exiled was not fixed; so his mother gave him to a Kourd in order to safe his life.
Ayraz lived seven years with the Kourd being his shepherd. One day he met a caravan going to Aleppo, most of the people were Armenians. He left the flock into the mountains and followed the caravan. He came to us on January 16.
Has no relatives.
Ayraz was received in the orphanage of the Near East Relief.
Left our care: April 10, 1923. Orphanage N.E.R.
