His father died before the
deportation. The rest of the family, consisted of his mother, three brothers
and one sister were exiled in the direction of Rakka. On the road the caravan
was exposed to the attack of the Arabs and during a sudden fight he lost his
dear ones and remained all alone among the hills. An Arab, named Adjil from
Aneze tribe took him to his tent, where he had to work two years as a shepherd,
then he fled to the village Sefire and lived 10 years with a Kürd, named Ahmed.
One day he came on business to
a mill near Sefire, the miller was an Armenian from Urfa. He judged Giragos
rightly to be an Armenian and sent him to our Deir-el-Zor agent, who turned him over us.
Left our care: 24/9 27, selfsupp. miller,
