Ohan and his parents were sent as far as Ras-el-Ain where they remained nearly 2 months. During that time his father fell ill and died.
A Kürd from Veranshehir took his mother and brought her to his house in Veranshehir. Ohan was with his mother. A few months later his step-father put him out of doors. Though a little child, the poor boy was obliged to work in the farms in order to get his daily bread. In this way he came to Mardin, where a Kürd took him, to his house and kept him for 10 years as a servant.
Once an Assyrian Christian informed the Catholic priest, who arranged Ohan’s escape and sent him to us.
Left our care: Jan 1930, rel. Alep.
Dec. 1930, now staying in Ras-el-Ain.
