His father was killed by the Turkish government and the whole family was deported. Only Dikran was given to a Turkish family who kept him in their house during eight years. Dikran was treated very well, they had adopted him as their son.
During these eight years he could not get any news from his relatives.
About two years ago he fled from the Turkish family and went to a city named Mezreh. There he was admitted in an Armenian orphanage, but two years alter the government sent him back to the Turkish family. Later when Armenians were allowed to travel, he fled to Harpoot, joined there a caravan of leaving Armenians and came in this way to Aleppo.
