As
all other Armenians in the wartime, Krikor also was exiled. He came on the road
with his parents, five brothers and a sister. One day his mother was taken by a
Kurd, his father and brothers were taken aside and killed. His little sister
succumbed, and he had to leave her at the side of the road. Some days after a
Kurd dragged him out of the caravan and brought him to a village near Biredjik.
Twelve years he worked as a slave for his possessor, then he could not stand
that life more. He fled and reached Arab-pounar. There he soon was found by our
agent, put into a motor-car and sent on to our rescue-home.
Krikor went to live
with his master.
Left our care: 13 June 1927. Selfsupporting, tinker.
