Harutiun's mother died before the war. He was deported
with his father, little brother and sister to a Kurdish village named Rouha.
His sister and brother were too small to walk all those long distances, they
soon became tired. Harutiun was a small boy himself. He could not carry his
brother or sister, the father being an elderly man could not either. So they
left them on the road, father and son were driven further on. After a long
wandering they arrived to Rakka. A Kurd named Hammo Habesh dragged him away
from his father. He does not know, what became of him. Harutiun worked till
lately without reward in the farm of the Kurd. Newly he fled, because the Kurd
wanted him to embrace Islam. He reached Tell-Samen and was by our agent sent on
to us.
Left our care: September 20.
1927. Selfsupporting.
