Ebroas was deported with her parents, three brothers and
other relatives from Killis to Aleppo. The parents who became very ill on the
road, died there. Ebros and her aunt were driven further on to Meskene, there
Arabs attacked the caravan. Ebros was dragged away by an Arab who brought her
to his tent. The aunt succeeded in fleeing back to Aleppo. In the same tribe,
where Ebros was living, was also an Armenian, who was a servant by an Arab. He
bought Ebros for some sheep. Many years they lived there, then he died. Her
aunt who had got the news that Ebros was alive, asked us for help and soon she
reached Aleppo.
Ebros is now living with her
aunt in Aleppo.
Left our care: October 18,
1928. We helped her relatives to find her and bring her out.
