Deported, but succeeded in fleeing and remained 4 years with the Kourdish tribe Karagetshili in Karatshadagh.

            Hearing, that his cousin were alive, he fled to Harpoot, and not finding her there went of Aleppo in search of her.

            He had a little money, but was robbed entirely on the road. In Urfa he found the organisation of the Harpoot - people, who sent him on to Aleppo. We paid half the expenses of the journey.

            Finding, that his father were alive in America, he was placed in the orphanage of the Near East Relief, until he could be sent away.

Choren was in our care for one day and then placed in the Near East Relief orphanage.
