In the war time the Turks
massacred his father and mother. He became an orphan and was left all alone
with his two sisters. A Kurd came and took him away from them to his village
where he had to work very hard on the farm. He never had any news from his
sisters and does not know what happened to them. The Kurd was very poor and
could not nourish him sufficiently. So Sarkis fled to another Kurdish village
and worked there. During the Kurdish-Turkish troubles he was fighting on the
side of the Kurds. As the Turks are looking for him and some of his Kurdish
friends, he fled and came out of Turkey. One Ras-el-Ain agent met him and
helped him to get to our Reception house.
