The two brothers Avedis and Nishan fortunately found
their mother as they arrived in our reception-home. She had also been taken by
an Arab, when the caravan arrived to Bab, but soon she succeeded in fleeing to
Aleppo, where she got a position as a servant. Her husband was taken as a
soldier in the Turkish army in the beginning of the war and she never heard
about him. The two boys were taken by Arabs and came to different villages.
Both became shepherds and sometimes they met. How happy they were now they were
able to speak in their mothertongue about the happy days in their earliest
childhood when they were living with their parents. By our help the mother had
searched for them. One day as they from our helper in Bab heard that their
mother was living in Aleppo, they immediately fled to us.
Left our care: August 1,
1927. Relatives mother Aleppo.
