Aram was deported with his parents, two sisters and one
brother. One sister died on the road, the others reached the river Khabur where
Aram's father with many others were killed by Arabs. The rest of the caravan
reached Ras-el-Ain where Arabs attacked them. Aram was taken by an Arab,
brought to his house and stayed as a shepherd 14 years with that man.
Newly he
came with his owner to Aleppo for selling sheep. Here he met with Armenians,
who helped him to flee.
