Zartar was married before the Great W. Her husband was in
the time of deportation thrown in prison, tortured and killed. Zartar was
exiled with thousands of Armenians. When the caravan reached Tshemishgazik, a
Turk brought her forcefully to his house and married her. 13 years she was his
slave. She got three children, two of them died. Newly the Turk also died.
Zartar and her daughter came with some refugees to Aleppo, and we took them in.
Still in our care.
