In the beginning of the war the whole family was
deported. Months they were driven to and fro. Hundreds of people died on the
road from typhus, dysentry and other illnesses. When the caravan reached
Diarbekir, Sinam and her sister were taken away by Kurds, who brought them to
their village and married them.
In the same village there was an Armenian. Sinam fled
with him to Diarbekir and they were married. Newly her husband was killed by a
Turk who wanted Sinam. She succeeded in fleeing to Syria. We took her and her
two children in.
Left our care: February 4,
1930. Relatives. Selfsupporting, servant.
