His father was a soldier in the Turkish army, when
Assadour came on the road with his country-people and all his relatives, his
mother, one brother, two sisters and two uncles. The caravan reached
Deir-el-Zor. After resting there a month his father one day arrived. Great was
the joy. But alas! After a short time they all were driven on to the region of
Shedadie. A terrible massacre took place, and Assadour lost all his dear ones.
An Arab from the Bagchara tribe brought him to his tent, where he remained as a
shepherd till he one day got the news that his uncle was living in Aleppo. He
fled to Hassitshe from where by our agent he was sent on to us.
Left our care: September 5,
1927. Relatives uncle Aleppo.
