            During the deportation his father was killed in his native town. Garabed lost his mother too.

            A Kourd came and took Garabed to his house where he was considered as a member of the family until he was big enough to help his master as a shepherd.

            He was informed that Armenians from Paloo were going to Allepo, he fled to them and came with them to Aleppo on November 18, 1922.

 

 

Garabed was received in the orphanage of the Near East Relief.
