Takvor and Maksood were deported with their parents and brothers early in 1915. When they arrived at Islahie their mother became ill and they could not help her. The only thing they did, was renting a carriage for her until Meydan-Ekbez. They hoped to reach her in the evening there. But they came to this town in the next day and they could not find her there. The caravan was ordered to stay there for ten days, camping outside the city in tents.

They were poor and in a few days they had nothing to eat. Their father gave them to a Kourd and promised them to come to take them if he would be alive after the war. Their father was sent further on and two weeks later the Kourd died.

Takvor and his brother were all alone in the world and they had to beg their daily bread.

A Turk of the village who had no children adopted Takvor as his child and used him as a shepherd. Several weeks afterwards Takvor brought his brother also in the Turk's house and they lived there until their escape. The Turk's wife and mother were against them and so Takvor took his brother and fled to Hammam. Armenians from there sent him to the compatriotic union of Broussa and from there he was brought to us.

Takvor is very sick. He is always staying in a hospital.

                        Died September 1925.

Left our care: May 6, 1924. Given to the Armenian Community.
