Hovhannes
was deported with his parents and an elder brother that was soon killed by the
Kourds.
His father also after some
days. Hovhannes and his mother reached Khaboor there the mother got ill and
died.
An Arab brought Hovhannes to
his tent, where he remained 10 years. He one day heard that many Armenians were
living in Aleppo.
He fled and reached
Deir-el-Zor from where our agent sent him further on to our rescue-home in
Aleppo.
Went
to our village April 22, 1925. Came back.
