In the beginning of the Armenian massacres Hovsep's father was killed with many others. His mother died before the war.

Hovsep was taken to the American orphanage when deportations began. Two years after he was discharged, being unable to work he was obliged to live among the Turks. Some Turk kept him as a servant during six years.

When Armenians were emigrating to Syria, he fled to the Armenian priest in Mardin and asked him to be sent to Aleppo.

The Armenian priest of Mardin sent him to our Hassitshe agent who sent him via Der-el-Zor to us.

As far as we know he has no relatives.

Found work for himself and left.

Left our care: June 3, 1924. Selfsupporting
