One year before Turkey entered in war, Yester went to Harpoot where she had some relatives. In the beginning of the deportation she was exiled to Izoli. A Turkish policeman took her from the caravan and engaged her as his servant. The Turk was living in Mezereh near Harpoot, so he took her to his town.
Yester lived 3 years with him being his servant. She fled to the American orphanage and was received there. Later she was sent to the American Hospital w[h]ere she was trained as a nurse for two years.
When all orphanages of the N.E.R. were transferred to Syria especially to Beirut she came with a group of orphans to Aleppo. She was between these who were not taken to Beirut. Yester could not find a job but was obliged to go to a Turkish house where she lived as a servant. The Turk wanted to marry her but Yester refused and fled to us.
As far as we know Yester has no relatives.
She found a place as a nurse here in Aleppo.
