Makrouhi was deported with her husband and family to Ashkala, where her husband was separated from her. She never had any news from him and does not know if he was killed or not. Makrouhi was sent with the rest of the caravan to Urfa.
In Urfa she was taken to the house of a policeman who married her and so she lived eight years with him. After the Armistice her husband went on business to Angora. During his absence she fled with her child to the Armenian church. There she was protected and later they provided a passport for her and so she could escape of the Mohamedisme.
We received her in November.
Makrouhi found a place as a servant, where she could have her boy with her, so they both left.
Left our care: May 1924. Selfsupporting, Servant.
