Minas was deported with his parents. The caravan stopped in Bab. There one day the father died and 4 days after also the mother. 

                  Minas was sent further on with the caravan. They came near Der-el-Zor.

                  There an Arab Minas away and brought him to his tent. He stayed there 7 years, then he fled to another village, where he remained 3 years. At that time some Armenians came to that village, they recognized Minas and brought him to our rescue-house in Aleppo.               

 

 

Minas found his uncle in Bagdad and went to live with him.
