His
father was a soldier in the Turkish army, when he was deported with his mother
in the Aintab direction. He and his mother were working three years in
different Turkish houses in order to earn their bread.
An Armenian took both of them
to his village hoping to help them. In the village a Turk took Khatchig to his
house. Some years he stayed there till his master was taken to the Turkish
army.
Khatchig fled to a village and
became the servant of the chief there. During 5 years he stayed there, three
times he tried to flee, but was caught and brought back.
At last he succeeded and
reached Djirablous, from where our agent sent him on to us.
Found
his father in Damaskus and went to live with him.
Left our care: December 13, 1925. Relatives
