His parents died before the war. Vartevar was adopted by an Armenian family. At the beginning of the deportation he was exiled with his new parents until Sufara.
Vartevar was taken to an Arab for whom he worked seven years as a farmer. His relatives were all killed in that town.
This spring his master gave him the permission to look for his relatives. Vartevar came to Aleppo but could not find any of them.
Has no relatives.
Vartevar learned a trade and became selfsupporting.
