Yeva's husband was a soldier in the Turkish army and he died there. She herself was deported with her two little children to Moussoul where the latter died. She became the maid servant of a Turkish family and remained seven years there.

Her daughter Delile was dragged away by a Turk on her way to Moussoul. The Turk took her to his village named Seghert.

Yeva came with her master's family to Mardin there she met her daughter. A few days later she fled with her to Aleppo.
