In the beginning of the Armenian deportation her village was attacked by Kourds, most of the people were killed, her husband included. Women and girls were taken to Turkish houses or harems. Satenig's neighbour, a Turk, took her to his house and married her by force. She lived six years with the Turk. Later she fled to Divrig, there she knew an Armenian family, who was islamized in the beginning of the deportation. She remained two years there doing the work of a maid-servant.
After the Armistice Armenians started to emigrate she fled Diarbekir, there she joined a leaving party and came to Aleppo.
As far as we know she has no relatives.
