The whole family was deported to the region of Sapka. On
their way through the Syrian steps most of them became ill. Her father and two
sisters died. During the massacres her mother was killed. She together with one
sister were taken to the house of a Tchetchen who kept them as slaves. Lately,
she was sold by the latter to a Kurd for six Turkish gold pounds. This Kurd
married her and she had a child of this marriage. Adelina tried to flee five
times but she was caught and brought back and very severely punished. Lately
her husband was away on business. She took this chance and fled. This time she
could arrive in time to Hassitshe. Our agent sent her immediately to our
reception-house. Fell from the horse on the way to us. Suffered much.
Gave
birth to a child, adopted.
Left our care: June 26,
