During the exile his father was killed. His mother one day disappeared. 

                  Emmanuel came on the road with his relatives and reached Mardin. There a Turk took him in. He remained one year with him, then being informed about two Armenian boys in a village near by, he fled and joined them. 

                  One day our agent from Hassitshe saw Emmanuel. He advised and persuaded him to return to his own nation.              

                  Emmanuel was willing and followed our agent, who sent him per motor-car on to our reception house in Aleppo.

We have sent Emmanuel to his uncle in Alexandrette.
