Mikael was deported with his parents to the villages near Mardin. His sisters were allowed to remain because her [his] elder brother was a soldier in the Turkish army.
Arabs of the Mardin region took Mikael to their village and he worked in an Arab's family as a farmer for eight years. He never heard from his parents.
When Armenians were emigrating he asked them if there are orphanages in Aleppo. When he knew that he could be protected by some foreign organization, he fled from the Arabs, joined a leaving caravan and came to this city. He firstly went to Der-el-Zor and from there to Aleppo.
Mikael's sister are supposed to be in Tarsus.
Learned a trade and became selfsupporting.
