Levon
was deported with a number of other Armenian children, whose parents were
deported to another direction. Until today Levon heard nothing about his
parents and he does know nothing of their fate, if they are alive or not. After
long travellings the caravan of children arrived to Malatia. The children were
given to Kurdish and Turkish families. Levon was taken to a village named
"Kullu Maghara." There he worked on the fields of his master who was
a Kurd. After some time he fled and went to Arabkir. As he was illtreated by
the Turks for being an Armenian he fled and went further on to the West until
he reached Adana and from there he went on to Killis. By and by he reached the
Turkish-Syrian frontier without knowing it. There he was attacked and robbed of
everything by Turkish gendarms who took even his clothes from him. Almost naked
he arrived to us. We are taking care of him.
Left our care: January 17, 1928. Selfsupporting.
