Carl Ellis Wandel, Constantinople, to the Foreign Ministry, Copenhagen

Nr. 264
Constantinople, 3 September 1915. No. 264. Declaration to the effect that a lot of goods is Danish. 2 enclosures [missing].

As the legation has the honor of forwarding an enclosed copy of a letter of 25 August this year received from the company E. Nobel, Prinsessegade 62, Copenhagen, in which the company requests that the legation, when questioned, will confirm that certain goods stored in Samsun [Samsoun] belong to the company and are Danish property, the legation respectfully asks for a possible authorization in this respect.

The legation has temporarily answered the Nobel company that until the necessary authorization has been granted it will limit itself to confirming that it has received notification that the said goods belong to the company and has requested that it seeks to put the matter in order by appealing to the Ministry.

C. E. Wandel
